01

Operating rules define a microgrid

A microgrid coordinates loads, generation, storage, switchgear, protection, communications and control across defined electrical boundaries. Resilience depends on critical-load priorities, transition logic, fuel or energy availability, protection selectivity and tested restoration procedures.

02

A label does not prove behavior

Grid-forming controls can establish voltage and frequency references, but the label alone does not prove fault response, seamless islanding or black-start capability. Models, settings, interoperability, cybersecurity and staged tests must match the installed configuration.

Decision notes

  • 01Resilience is a service level, not an equipment label.
  • 02A digital twin is only as current as its data and model governance.
