Sustainability / Decarbonization

Energy with responsibility

We connect infrastructure, technical knowledge, financing and digital tools to structure power generation and storage projects responsibly. Every claim must carry its indicator, method and evidence.

Our approach

From intention to evidence

A decarbonization action becomes reportable when its boundary, period, source and verification status are clear. Estimates disclose their assumptions. Missing evidence stays visible as a data gap.

01 / Action

What Newman did and in which role.

02 / Indicator

Unit, period and reporting boundary.

03 / Status

Documented, calculated, estimated or pending.

04 / Source

Evidence, owner, version and approval.

Decarbonization pathways

Capabilities that must lead to measured outcomes

These are current Newman capabilities and lines of action. We do not present them as historical results unless a project file confirms the year, role, stage and measured outcome.

Methodology

Reference frameworks, not badges

The reports draw on selected elements of recognized standards. This does not imply membership, certification, assurance or full compliance.

GHG Protocol

Corporate inventory and project-level calculations.

Methodological reference

GRI Standards

Impacts on the economy, environment and people.

Selected elements; not in accordance

IFRS S1 / S2

Sustainability and climate risks and opportunities.

Structural reference; no compliance claim

UN SDGs

Thematic mapping to specific targets.

Context only; not a certification

We report avoided emissions separately from the corporate inventory. We never deduct them from gross Scope 1, 2 or 3 emissions.

Annual archive

Three retrospective reports, one evidence standard

We prepared these 26-page reports in 2026 and published them in English. They explain reporting boundaries, calculation methods, evidence quality, climate-risk controls and unresolved data gaps.
